What Happens After You Submit a Match Profile

You finished Find My Agent. Here's what a member of our team reviews in your Match Profile, how the one introduction works, what it costs (nothing), and what you're free to do next.

Key takeaways

  • A member of our team reviews your Match Profile before anyone is introduced. There's no instant auto-match. We may text or call with one short clarifying question first (How It Works).
  • You get one introduction, not a blast. If a suitable participating agent is available, we introduce you to one of our vetted local real estate agents and tell you why they fit (FAQ).
  • It's free, and you're not obligated to hire anyone. Submitting a Match Profile doesn't by itself make anyone your buyer's or seller's agent (Disclosure).
  • We name the agent and their brokerage when we introduce you. That includes saying so when the agent is affiliated with Aire Realty, LLC, the Indiana brokerage that operates Agent Intro (Disclosure).
  • Already have a name from a friend? Second Opinion uses the same short profile and gives you one alternative to compare.

What a Match Profile is (and isn't)

Short answer: a Match Profile is the short set of questions behind Find My Agent. It tells us enough about your move to make one careful introduction in Kentuckiana, meaning Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana. It takes about two minutes, and contact details come near the end (How It Works).

Agent Intro is a free service that introduces home buyers and sellers in Southern Indiana and Louisville to one of our vetted local real estate agents. The Match Profile is where that starts.

What it isn't:

  • Not a buyer agreement or a listing agreement. Our Disclosure says submitting a Match Profile, getting an introduction, or talking with us about one "does not by itself create a buyer agency, seller agency, fiduciary, or other brokerage-client relationship." Brokerage services only start under a separate agreement you choose to sign.
  • Not a lead form that goes to a pile of offices. At submit, you authorize one introduction, and the Limited Referral Services Agreement limits sharing your details to the one selected agent and their brokerage.
  • Not a listing search site. We don't run an MLS search tool or a directory of hundreds of agents (About).

What you share, and what you don't have to decide yet

Short answer: you share the basics of the move and how you like to work. You don't need a finished plan.

The profile asks about:

  • Intent: buying, selling, or both
  • Where: Jeffersonville, New Albany, Clark and Floyd counties, Louisville, or nearby
  • Timing, from "ready now" to "just exploring"
  • Budget range or sale readiness, with "not sure yet" as an option
  • Property type, such as single-family, condo or townhome, multi-family, or land
  • Financing, for buyers (optional)
  • Working style: how you like to communicate, how much guidance you want, how you make decisions, and what pace suits you
  • What matters most, such as local market expertise, negotiation, clear communication, or experience with deals like yours
  • Whether you already have an agent in mind, including whether you're already under an agreement with one

You don't have to decide any of these on day one:

  • An offer price or list price
  • A final school district or street
  • Whether you'll end up with a friend's agent
  • Which contingencies or repairs you'll ask for

Those are conversations for a licensed real estate agent, after the introduction. The profile's job is narrower. It gives a member of our team enough to work with so the introduction isn't random.

What happens after you submit a Match Profile

Short answer: a member of our team reviews your Match Profile, may ask you one quick question, and then, if there's a good fit available, makes one introduction. Here's the sequence.

Step What happens Where it's described
1. You submit You agree to the referral agreement and authorize one introduction. Limited Referral Services Agreement
2. Team review A member of our team reviews your Match Profile, including your move, timing, and working style. Our confirmation screen says review usually happens within a business day. How It Works
3. Possible follow-up We may text or call with one short clarifying question so the pick fits your real situation. How It Works
4. Fit check We compare your move with participating agents: local expertise, relevant experience, availability, then working style. How We Choose Agents
5. One introduction We tell you who, why they fit, and which brokerage they're with. Disclosure

What a member of our team weighs during review

How We Choose Agents lists four things:

  • Local expertise: they know Jeffersonville, New Albany, Clark and Floyd, and Greater Louisville, and how deals get done here.
  • Relevant experience: a track record that lines up with buying, selling, or both.
  • Availability: room to take you on properly, not just another lead.
  • Working-style fit: how you like to talk, get guidance, and pace the work.

Skill comes first and working style second. Agents can't pay for placement, and ads and fees don't change who we recommend.

What if there's no good fit?

That can happen. We introduce from a limited participating network, not every licensed agent in the region. The referral agreement says we may ask questions, decline a request, or conclude no suitable participating agent is available. We'd rather tell you that than force a weak introduction. An agent outside our network may also meet your needs, and you're always free to hire anyone you like.

The introduction: one agent, with a why

Short answer: you get one name, the reason we picked them for your move, and their brokerage. It's not five agents racing to call you first.

The agent knows you came through Agent Intro and has the context from your profile, so the first conversation can skip some basics. From there, judge them on substance:

  • Ask how they'd approach your search or sale. Listen for specifics about your side of the river, not general metro talk.
  • Ask about deals like yours. First purchase, move-up, an inherited house, a sale that stalled, a cross-river comparison.
  • Check their license. Indiana licenses can be looked up through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, and Kentucky licenses through the Kentucky license search.
  • Read any agreement before you sign it. Ask about the length, the scope, how to end it, and how compensation works. If something isn't clear, ask a real estate attorney.

How Agent Intro gets paid

Plainly, from our Disclosure:

  • Free for you. You don't pay Agent Intro a fee for the profile or the introduction.
  • Partner brokerages: if an introduction to a partner brokerage leads to a closed deal, that brokerage may pay a referral fee to Aire Realty, LLC, which operates Agent Intro. It comes out of brokerage compensation, not an extra charge to you.
  • Affiliated agents: the agent we introduce may be affiliated with Aire Realty, LLC. If so, we say that when we introduce you, and the brokerage would be paid only under a separate agreement you choose to sign.

The Disclosure page has the full details, including the typical fee range.

What you're free to do next

Short answer: anything. Hire the agent, keep interviewing, pause, or walk away.

After the introduction you can:

  • Work with the agent if the fit feels right
  • Interview others, including people outside our network
  • Pause if your timeline moved
  • Tell us it isn't working. Our FAQ says we can discuss another introduction when that makes sense.

You don't owe Agent Intro a closing, and our Disclosure is clear that we can't promise an introduction will be available or that it will lead to a sale, a purchase, or a good working relationship.

Buying and selling at the same time

Choose "Buying + Selling" in the profile. A member of our team then reviews your Match Profile and looks at both sides of the plan, including which comes first. The agent you're introduced to can talk through sequencing with you. You don't have to settle it in the form.

Find My Agent vs. Second Opinion

Short answer: Find My Agent starts from scratch. Second Opinion is for people who already have a name and want one alternative to compare. Both use the same short profile and one introduction. A member of our team reviews your Match Profile.

Find My Agent Second Opinion
Good fit if you have No strong lead yet A name from a friend, co-worker, or open house
What you get One introduction One alternative to compare with the name you have
Start here /match /second-opinion

One caution from our Disclosure: if you've already signed an exclusive buyer or listing agreement, review it before you ask for a second opinion. We won't advise you to breach an agreement, and we may pause an introduction until that's clear.

FAQs

What is a Match Profile?

It's the short set of questions behind Find My Agent. It covers whether you're buying, selling, or both, where, your timing, your budget or sale readiness, property type, and how you like to work. It takes about two minutes and helps us introduce you to one of our vetted local real estate agents in Kentuckiana.

How long does review take?

Our confirmation screen says review usually happens within a business day. A member of our team reviews every Match Profile, and we may text or call with one short question before introducing anyone. If no suitable participating agent is available, we'll tell you rather than force an introduction.

Will several agents call me?

No. You authorize one introduction, and your details go only to the one selected agent and their brokerage. It's not a blast to several agents.

Do I have to hire the agent I'm introduced to?

No. The introduction is free, and submitting a Match Profile doesn't by itself create a buyer or seller agency relationship. Brokerage services start only if you sign a separate agreement with the agent and brokerage you choose.

What if I'm buying and selling?

Choose "Buying + Selling" in the profile. A member of our team reviews your Match Profile and looks at both sides of your plan, and the agent you're introduced to can help you work out which comes first.

What's the difference between Find My Agent and Second Opinion?

Find My Agent is for starting from scratch. Second Opinion is for people who already have a name and want one alternative to compare. Both use the same short profile, and a member of our team reviews your Match Profile. If you're already under an exclusive agreement, review it before asking for a second opinion.
